| | | General Comments: | When it comes to lighting up your job site or providing auxiliary power for tools and equipment, you enjoy the use of Allmand Light Tower Pro.
Completing a grading or excavating project usually requires more than the power to dig, push, grade, load and otherwise handle dirt efficiently and productively. Often it takes other types of power, as well—like the power to extend your workday and help keep the site secure during hours of darkness. Or, the power to operate tools, ranging from electric breakers to air compressors, and even to keep the lights and computers on in a job shack. That’s where portable lighting systems and mobile generators can save the day as well as the night.
Like any piece of equipment, getting the most for your money from a set of lights or a genset means selecting the unit that best fits your grading and excavating needs. Here are some advantages of Allmand Light Tower Pro over the competitive units
Allmand Night-Lite PRO Series
The Allmand Night-Lite PRO series of portable light towers offers quality lighting at a reasonable price for a wide variety of markets, including rental yards, contractors, municipalities, and special events. The Night-Lite PRO comes with Allmand’s durable SHO lighting system as standard equipment. The SHO parallel lamp fixtures provide up to 50-percent more light than competitive units.
The fixture is the key - that’s what is projecting the light out onto the worksite. The parallel fixtures provide a more even distribution of light over the job-site,
If you can use three or four light towers to light the same area as it normally takes five or six, that’s providing the customer with value and savings.
The SHO system incorporates four 1000-watt metal halide lamps rated at 110,000 lumens mounted in parallel lamp fixtures, which provides more than 83,550 usable lumens per fixture. The lighting system covers a 43,828 sq.ft. work area, based on lighting the worksite to a 0.5 foot candle level.
For optimum corrosion protection, the Night-Lite PRO comes with a new galvanized steel tower. Galvanized steel is also self-healing. If the surface is scratched, the coating will expand to protect the damaged area against corrosion.
The Night-Lite PRO engine-generator package includes a 1,800-rpm, liquid-cooled diesel engine and a 6-kilowatt generator. Other value-added features include automatic shutdown for low oil pressure and high engine temperature and a glow plug cold-start aid.
The mast is center-mounted between two retractable rear outriggers and tongue jack providing operational stability. This outrigger system allows the trailer to remain operational in winds up to 104.61 kmph. Self-locking stabilizers and a captive latch pin on the tower support eliminate the need for troublesome pins.
Self-lubricating nylon pads on the light tower provide smooth, safe operation. Utilizing nylon pads eliminates the problems associated with metal-to-metal wear points and stabilizes the tower by increasing the rigidity to the tower assembly when raised.
The Night-Lite PRO series features a molded, 113,562.4 cubic-cm seamless polyethylene fuel tank for up to 60 hours of continuous operation. Built with corrosion- and dent-resistant molded fenders and heavy-duty enclosures, it is ideal for the most rugged conditions. The protective enclosure includes solid 12-gauge fold-up doors and 10-gauge side panels. Forklift pockets allow for easy loading and unloading.
The 30-foot telescoping towers’ galvanized coating will expand to protect any scratched areas from corrosion.
The Night-Lite Pro light tower is constructed with dent- and rust-resistant ABS plastic fenders and heavy-duty enclosure incorporates 12-gauge fold-up doors and 10-gauge side panels as well as molded fenders built to eliminate dents and corrosion.
It come with 13-inch tires and a two-inch ball/three-inch pintle hitch for easy transportation.
Forklift pockets are included to allow for easy loading and unloading
A number of options help further customize each PRO package, such as a sound attenuation package, quick-disconnect lamp fixtures, a seven-pole taillight connector and a bulldog hitch. Standard, International and Arctic Special packages can be used with Allmand’s LSC100 Automatic Light Sequence Commander, which features a seven-day eight-event digital timer that allows an operator to preset different activation and deactivation times to reduce engine wear and fuel consumption.
